When we feel low it can be daunting to ask for help but try to talk to someone you trust, such as a good friend or a tutor. There are many services who are about to offer support or advice.
If you are thinking of hurting yourself or taking your life please contact your GP or if you can’t reach your GP go to A&E at Leeds General Hospital, Ground floor, Jubilee Wing, LGI, Calverley Street, Leeds Tel: 0113 3923354 (view map).

Dial House is a place available to people who are experiencing emotional distress,
6pm - 2am Friday - Sunday.

The service offers one-to-one support and/or a sanctuary when people feel they can't cope. The first time you attend you may turn up without an appointment if you prefer. Otherwise it is necessary to call in advance from 6pm to book an appointment and arrange transport if needed.

Counselling and support centre for people who are finding it difficult to cope at a stressful time in their lives. Short-term help, usually no more than eight weeks. African-Caribbean, Asian and gay workers available.

Samaritans
For people who are feeling desperate, or suicidal.They can be phoned at any time and there will be someone there to listen and help the person talk about how they are feeling. Email counselling is also available.
